EMPLOYEES WELFARE

 

            Coal India Ltd always aims to maintain happy and contented work force and  has been constantly  endeavoring for improvement in the quality of life of its employees as well as the Community. The basic facilities of Housing, Water Supply, Medical  care  etc  continue to be  provided to the employees. Some educational institutions operating in and around Coal Companies are given assistance by way of grant-in-aid and infrastructure as a part of  Welfare and Community Development activities.

Coal India Scholarship:

 In order to encourage the Sons/Daughters of the employees of Coal India Limited, two types of Scholarship namely Merit and General Scholarship are being given as per the  prescribed terms and conditions.

Grant and Donation:

 As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, Grant/Donations/Sponsorship of events are also being given to renowned NGOs.

Sports and cultural activities:

Coal India gives special impetus for promotion of Sports and Cultural activities for the employees & their wards. Every year sports events in 15 different disciplines are organized by CIL and its  subsidiaries under the aegis of Coal India Sports Promotion Board. Inter Colliery & Inter Area level sports & Cultural meets are also held in subsidiary level. Rural sports and Handicapped sports are important events in the subsidiary level.

                As a part of Corporate social responsibility, Coal India Limited and its subsidiary companies are regularly undertaking different Community Development activities in and around the coalfield areas for the benefit of the local people
